The International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities:
As a crucial aspect of supporting People-to-People Exchanges, aligning with the Eight Major Steps China will take to support the joint pursuit of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, the foundation and development of the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities has gained attention and support from all sides. Since its initiation, the Alliance, committed to becoming an inclusive international cooperation mechanism, has been an organizer or participant in various themed events, contributing to the friendly exchange and pragmatic cooperation in tourism between Chinese cities and their international counterparts.
At the first anniversary of its foundation, the Alliance plans to organize the International Forum on Culture and Tourism Development of Silk Road Cities 2024 & the First Culture and Tourism Season of Silk Road Cities (Kunming) from September 19 to 21, 2024 in Kunming (Yunnan Province, China), reputed to be "the city of eternal spring".

The International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities, jointly initiated by the Network of International Culturalink Entities (NICE) and well-known tourism cities both at home and abroad, aims to carry forward the Silk Road spirit of "Peace and Cooperation, Openness and Inclusiveness, Mutual Learning and Mutual Benefit."
